Definitions
Participation | Meaning |
---|---|
User | Uses the software created by the project, and contributes significantly to mailing lists or other discussion forums intended for other users. |
Developer | Contributes to the development of the project, by writing documentation or source code, and participates in any developer forums. |
Release Engineer | Coordinates contributions from other developers and performs releases for the project. |
Project Owner | Primary author of the software, provides releases, patch acceptance, support, and web hosting. Usually indicates a one-man project, or an open source project without a team structure. |
